7 Day Kickstart Exercise Challenge Day 5

Welcome to Day 5 of your exercise challenge.

You’re almost there…just a couple more days to go. How’s it going? Drop me a line and let me know if you have a second.

Today’s challenges are all pretty doable and your workout focuses on low impact, easy to follow cardio exercises. You’re in charge of how hard you work.

Don’t forget to fill out your Daily Checklist.

Your Active Challenge

Walk up at least one flight of stairs

Walking up any kind of incline is a great way to get your heart rate up and burn some calories. If you don’t have any steps, try walking up a hill for a few minutes. Of course, if this bothers your knees, feel free to walk anywhere you like.

Your Exercise Challenge

Today’s workout all about the cardio. Don’t worry – The exercises are low impact and easy to follow – And if they’re not, just email me and I’ll point you in the right directions.

You just have 10 exercises and you can go at your own pace. Put on some music and get started.

Your Flexibility Challenge

Ready for your 3 stretches? These are good ones so enjoy. Use a chair if you don’t have a ball.

Hamstring Stretch

Full Body Stretch

Side Stretch

Your Nutrition Challenge

Have a full glass of water before at least one meal or snack.

Raise your hand if you ever eat when you’re not hungry? I do it all the time.

Sometimes when you haven’t had enough water, you actually feel like you’re hungry.

Today, pick a meal or snack and drink a full 8 oz glass of water before you eat. Notice that you’re full? That can help cut down if you tend to eat too much.

Your Mind/Body Challenge

Total Body Release

For this, set aside a few minutes where you have some quiet time. Lie down on the bed or something comfortable. Starting at your feet, squeeze your toes. Hold that squeeze and keep going up your body – Squeezing the calves, thighs, butt, back, arms and neck. Now really squeeze your jaw…make sure everything is very tight.

Take a deep breath and release. Stay there and breathe for as long as you like.
