7 Day Kickstart Fitness Challenge Day 2
It’s Day 2 of your fitness challenge and we’re focusing on the lower body as well as moves you can do while you’re sitting – Either at the computer, in front of the TV or anytime you need a break.
Everything is pretty easy today, so let’s get to it.
Don’t forget to fill out your Daily Checklist.
Your Active Challenge
Seated exercises to keep you moving. If you spend a lot of time sitting, join the club! Here are some simple moves you can do right at your desk.
Your Exercise Challenge
Today will focus on the muscles that really do the most work – Your lower body. This simple workout requires no equipment but hits all the good ones – the hips, glutes, and thighs.
10 simple moves – you can do it, right?
Your Flexibility Challenge
Your flexibility challenge is so easy, you’re going to love it.
You only have one move…Cat Stretch. Just inhale, suck your belly in and arch your back towards the ceiling. Then exhale and go in the other direction, opening your chest and pressing your hips to the sky.
Repeat for as long as you want.
Your Nutrition Challenge
Research one new recipe to try.
It doesn’t have to be complicated, but try to find something that has at least one ingredient you haven’t had for awhile or even something you’ve never had. I like to keep it easy so here are some options for you:
- Roasted Chicken with Sweet Potatoes
- Zucchini Noodles with Avocado Pesto & Shrimp
- Salmon & Asparagus Farro Bowl
You know how to use the Internet (hopefully) so you can do your own search as well. The only rule? You have to make this recipe before the challenge ends. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
Your Mind/Body Challenge
Your Favorite Song. Music can change your mood faster than a glass of wine. Yes, I said that and I mean it. So, today, I want you to listen to one of your favorite songs. Try to use headphones so you can crank it up. Close your eyes and enjoy.
Here’s my current favorite song right now:
How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful by Florence and the Machine
